Is it true I can rent my home for up to six years without incurring CGT?

Is it true that if my house is my sole dwelling I may rent the house out for six years then return to live in it for an acceptable period and it remains CGT exempt?



A.

Yes, provided it is in your personal name or names, and not in the name of a family trust or company.
